Buyer’s Pick of the Week
by
Lindsay Burt on June 14th, 2010
Well the weather has turned hot and it’s time to start spending the weekends poolside. If you are in need of a swim suit update I would suggest you check out Trina Turk swimwear. Just like the Trina Turk ready to wear collection the swim suits are in bright, bold colors and exotic prints. They are also so flattering because they have just enough coverage in the areas you need while still showing the right amount of skin. The halter styles are great for extra support for curvier bodies, and the bandeau tops are perfect for summer tanning.

by
Hannah Geis on June 12th, 2010
Last Friday, I was reminded of one of my favorite things to attend in Kansas City, First Fridays. First Fridays is a free event that occurs on the first Friday of every month in the Crossroad Art District in downtown KC. With an abundance of indoor and outdoor entertainment, plenty of places to grab drinks and dinner, and lots of hip art galleries, there’s no better way to spend a summer night. Many surrounding stores and restaurants even offer drink specials and free merchandise. The next First Friday is July 2.

An Alternative to Jeans
by
Hannah Geis on June 11th, 2010
This season’s must have trend: cargo pants. While jeans are the main staple in a fashionable wardrobe, sometimes a fun alternative is necessary to mix it up. The best thing about this trend is it’s versatility. While these pants look great with flats for a casual look, they instantly dress up with a pair of platforms. This is also a great piece to transition from summer to fall. You can’t go wrong with this comfy, multipurpose trend!
Trend: Denim Top
by
Mallory Kupchin-Mays on June 10th, 2010

Button down denim tops are no longer just for farmers. Many celebs around Hollywood have been seen wearing denim button down shirts. Try pairing the denim top with a pencil skirt and heels to dress the look up like Hilary Duff. For a causal look try pairing the top with a pair of black shorts.
Goody Spin Pins
by
Mallory Kupchin-Mays on June 9th, 2010

Goody has come out with a new product called the Spin Pins. The product easily creates a messy bun that will stay in all day. All you have to do is gather your hair, twist it in a bun, and stick one Spin Pin in the top and one at the bottom. A single Spin Pin does the work of 20 bobby pins. You can pick up Goody’s Spin Pins at any CVS or Target.
