It may be 90 degrees outside but fall fashion is already here. As the new fall deliveries have started to arrive, there is one piece that grabbed my attention right away. Marc by Marc came out with one of the best military jackets of the season! If you haven’t already heard one of the biggest trends this fall is military inspired fashion and a light weight military jacket is essential. I think this jacket can also come in handy during the summer months on camping trips or cool nights at the lake. It looks awesome with the sleeves rolled, paired back to a tank and shorts. I also love styling it belted with a contrasting feminine dress. Either way you’d better pick up your military jacket for the upcoming season!

A must have for this summer is a  straw hat. This summer accessory is great because it protects your face from the harmful sun rays and keeps you looking chic while sitting poolside. Try wearing a fedora or boater style and you are sure to be the best dressed at the pool!

Want something new to brighten up your eyes this summer? Try a little turquoise eye liner to add a pop without being over the top. To start with a subtle move, use just a little under your eye and match it with eye shadow in brown or gold tones. To be more daring, use it with some turquoise eye shadow and even turquoise mascara.

A print that is defiantly making its mark this summer is the tribal print. We are seeing it being used from clothing, bags, and shoes.  A good way to make this print extra chic is to pair these bold prints with chunky embellished jewelry.

With the 2010 FIFA world cup underway there has been many upsets and exciting moments.  On Wednesday the US team beat Algeria with a goal scored by Landon Donavan in the 91^st minute. This win secured them a spot to play in the round of 16. USA will play Ghana on Saturday at 1:30. If they win this game they will advance to the quarter-finals. Make sure to watch Saturday to cheer on the team. Go USA!!



Chloé unveiled their new fragrance ‘Love-Chloé’ at a launch party in Paris. It will be available for sale this upcoming September! I am very excited to try this new scent.

Black or dark colored shorts are a must have for this season. They go with literally any outfit, from embellished tops to blouses, and you stay comfortable and still classy! Celebrities like Lauren Conrad and Olivia Palermo wear their shorts out and about and have been pictured wearing them on numerous occasions. I’ve been eying the Elizabeth and James black pleated shorts for a while. They’re running out quick, so hurry into Standard for a visit!

This summer you can wear all your favorite necklaces at once thanks to the layering trend. Many celebrities are piling on the jewelry, adding it to neutral clothing to give it a pop. You can wear different necklaces of the same color or put together a few completely different pieces. Put necklaces of different lengths on to show off each one. Many necklaces this summer even come together to make it easy to try the laying look.

A sheer blouse is a great alternative to a summer dress to wear for the warmer weather. Pairing the blouse with a pair of shorts or tucked into skinny jeans is a great look for summer. Make sure to get them with delicate prints and a billowy fit.
