Latest beauty obsession: MAC’s long wear lip-stain marker. For anyone who loves lipstick but hates that it wears off too quickly, it’s a must have!  This lipstick has a felt tip so application is flawless, even, and fool proof.  One coat gives a fabulous hint of color and more make for an intense, bold color.  Unlike other long lasting lipsticks, it does not dry out your lips and works perfectly under any kind of balm or gloss.  It comes in many colors but my favorite so far is a fuchsia called, ‘stylesetter.’

One of our favorite lines made an appearance on the season premiere of MTV’s, The Hills.  Lo Bosworth was spotted wearing the printed floral cami dress in ‘navy twilight.’  Parker is developed from designers in New York and is known for creating unique prints in many wearable silhouettes.  The cami dress shown here is a must-have for spring, comes in an array of patterns and can be found at Standard Style Boutique.

Nothing says warm weather like a pop of color, so why not add a little to your make up routine.  Pink pouts are showing up everywhere and I couldn’t be more thrilled as bubblegum pink has always been a personal favorite.  Try out this fresh-faced trend with one of MAC’s staples, ‘pink poodle.’

Polka dots are not just for little girls anymore as they are popping up all over this spring, from tops and dresses to scarves and swimsuits.  They are showing up in an aray of color schemes like navy and white for a nautical feel or electric hues for a retro-funky vibe.  Some of our favorite designers are embracing this trend including Marc Jacobs, Rebecca Taylor and Theory.  Keep it classic with white pants and a blazer or mix it up with a flirty floral print like shown above.

I am obsessed with this new MAC tinted lip conditioner.  I love lipstick and gloss but in these dry winter months I need something that will moisturize my lips as well.  So voila, I found my new favorite lip product!  It has the consistency of a balm but the color of a sheer lip gloss.  It even has SPH 15, which is always a plus, and is formulated with shea butter, avocado extract, wheat germ oil and vitamins A and E.  It is simply heaven in a jar!  Even better is comes in 6 colors from a brown, to a coral, to a hot pink, so there is one for every skin coloring.

I recently popped into the much raved about Dolce Baking Company in prairie village and I must say I was impressed!  Not only were the sweets to die for, but the bakery was welcoming and had such an authentic, local feel.  The company is owned and operated by Erin Brown and has been open since the fall of 2007.  It is the perfect place to stop and grab a coffee and cinnamon roll (which are phenomenal) on the way to work or a sweet treat on your lunch break.  They are also well-known for their delectable cakes for weddings and other special events.  If you are looking for new place to meet friends or satisfy your sweet tooth, try Dolce!  I’m sure you will enjoy it as much as I did.

High messy buns are popping up all over for spring from haute couture on the runways to everyday street chic gals.  We love this look because it comes across as effortless yet still stylish.  In order to master this look, make sure you keep your makeup and clothing put together and polished in order to avoid appearing sloppy.

We are going crazy for this 60′s inspired collection.  It has the perfect combination of psychedelic prints, lady-like jackets, and simple shifts.  We love how she was able to incorporate the many influential style elements from this iconic time period.  Pair her spring pieces with items you already have to give your wardrobe that new-vintage feel.

Celebrities gave us a glimpse into one of spring’s biggest trends this year at the SAG awards.  Stars like Katherine Heigel, Jane Krakowski, and Claire Danes dared to be bold on the carpet in red.  This punch of color is perfect for transitioning from winter to spring.  Pair a red dress with black tights now, then go bare-legged when the temperatures rise with strappy heels.  If a bright dress is too much for you, embrace this trend with a red handbag, jacket, or silky top.
